Keep Em' At It

Well not a lot to report on this posting. Getting out has been a bit of a challenge but yesterday my homie Tone hit me up and was down for going out and snagging some pics. The later afternoon came about and I picked him up and got to work. Hydrant spot first then Tone was wanting to get his rail game on so we smashed over to a shortish but tall rail over in Oakland. It had been a bit since Tone had worked a rail but I was able to keep a homie motivated and the session yielded a killer stoke for Tone and some snaps for me. Oh and as a side note we ran into my friend James and it was his birthday so he vaulted the rail and I had my gear set up and I got a B-day photo for him. The title is hinting at the idea that Tone was ready to bounce on the rail spot but a bit of encouragement from yours truly and he kept at it...and in the end that was killer for both parties.

Mind If I Cut In?

Christian here...like you would expect someone else. I'm excited to say the reaction to Jason's gallery was tremendous. Looks like folks appreciate a great piece of art when they see it. I have about 5 count em' 5 assorted interviews and other peoples stuff brewin' out there as we speak. So I decided to put up a few shots I have managed to capture over the past few days, seeing as how there will be a big push to get other folks up in here. Keep you eye on the blog to see some hitters stepping up to the plate to slap one outta the park like our good friend Jason.

Weather Breaks

Little session out at the Richmond Marina. The weather has been less than hospitable and after getting some chores done had a chance to get out to the Marina with Jonathan and Oc. That Marina has all kinds of sweet stuff, gaps, banks, and ledges. That marina will be shot again from some fresh angles and with some bomber tricks. Oh and sorry Oc about the broken board, I'll make it up to ya some how.

6Twentyone session

Mini ramp session? Yes please!
My homie Jason out at 6Twentyone in Livermore just got done this a.m. finishing up a pretty sweet mini ramp at the shop. Ron and I battled a bit of traffic, snagged some IN-N-OUT and got to the shop at about 6:00 this eve. A little session ensued. A local very worth mentioning was Brad McClain. This cat was putting a whoopin' on the ramp, super fun to watch and a stoke. This type of shot is a first for me...but kinda into the results. More experience...hell yea!

3, 2, 1... BANG!!! Happy New Year!

Here is to starting off a new year with a POP. I have some things brewing for the blog this coming year. The main content will stay the same, please refer to description below title of blog, but I will make a concerted effort to have more rider profiles, and shop write ups. Up to this point alot of building has been going on and I am looking forward to living in this house I have created, and making it a home. Welcome to those just joining and thanks to everybody who has wiped there feet and been here the whole time. In honor of new years here is the original open to the new years eve song. Enjoy.

2009 Rewind

It was set off in April of this year. As my family got older I realized that I could return to a big love of mine. That love is skating. At that time another love had come into my life, that love was photography. It hit me one day at the park...lets merge these loves! Done. Here is the year in review for me. If you peep this blog, thanks for visiting. I'm looking forward to another year of skating and shooting. Shutter snaps and board cracks!

The end is near

Ok so the end of the year is approaching and on that note I'm going to put together a small "best of" shot gallery. The year has been killer. Thanks to all the folks who have made my transition into skating photography possible. People like ...ok this list will be long.., Jonathen Perez, Dookie Collins, Steezy, Noah Scott, Joe, Oc, D, Kevin, Josh Sanchez, Alex, Nick, Ron Allen, Trent, Paz, and my boy Buddah. There are so many fools who helped to make up this blog and I want to thank all of you, if it wasn't for you it wouldn't be possible. Bottom line much love to all the skating community in the East Bay and beyond. Special thanks goes out to Mike and the SPINWRENCH crew. These guys helped to get me hooked up with the scene.

Twas the day before Christmas...

And I had cleaned up the house. Then Crystal came home and is the best spouse. She said to me "Honey I thought you would like, to go out with your friends you can if you'd like." So I packed up my gear and ran down to the car, put it in drive and didn't go far. Berkeley was the spot to skate and warm up, skating was fun and then Trent showed up. We got a few snaps, Trent's a ripper for sure then off to Richmond I went in a blur. Traffic was wack but I finally got there. Met up with Paz, D, Oc, Joe, and Walker. Other people were there cuz there's always alot, that park is so fun how could there be not? More fun to be had doing skating and shooting, then my time was up I had to be scooting. Said peace out to the homies and packed up my stuff, leaving the park and fun is quite rough. I had a great day and I heard Joe say "Merry Christmas you scrub and have a good holiday!"

Ricmond marina

Oy... its not often I hit a blog on such a high note but this afternoon/eve was the bomb for catchin snaps!! Richmond park then to the marina to get some shots of Joe and Paz throwing down on some terrain that was super worthy of some pics. You guys rule! Killer stuff and I super appreciate it. Ey..... and Kevin and Dukie got saucie on the A frame. The details will follow, this is a quick post just cuz I'm so stoked on the shots from the marina. Much love and PBR in the house!!

There's somthin' fishy goin' on round here

Just made the jump and received my sigma 15mm fisheye lens. I have been really scrutinizing skating photos lately and realized the tool was a necessity. The talent to shoot with a lens of this type is going to be a bit to learn, but I'm down. I have been shooting with it over the past couple of days and I'm semi pleased with the results. I obviously have a ways to go and will be shooting a lot of garbage in the future. Raise your glass high... here is to humbling experiences! *Clink*
