Art Attack

The kids over at 621 assembled some bands and some art then put em' together to create Art Attack. This event was a great opportunity for some local artists to get their work out and in front of the public. Another note worthy happening was the release of the newest Skidmark zine. Mike and his team are killing it and the mag is very worthy of some attention. The over all vibe was chill and the night was definitely fun. I managed to snag some snaps and network with some folks to help with fresh content on the blog. Check out the photos and stay tuned for artists and photographers who I met at the event. Red Asphalt Premier

Had a chance to get to my first premier thanks to Joel and Metro skate shop. The production was great, that whole team rips, and there was this sick "friends of" section that had some local rippers. There was a full house and the metro guys got some product together from Osiris and a host of other company's and raffled it off. On a hilarious note team rider Chris Jatoft actually won a pair of shoes in the raffle. I have to admit if I get to do more of these types of events I need to get better at shooting them, but here is what I managed to grab. If you have a chance definitely get your hands on the video when it drops. Thanks again for the invite Joel.

Jam Bam Thank You Ma'am

Packed between TGIF and the return of a work week is a couple of days that can hold huge potential. This past weekend was pretty packed with all kinds of happenings and plenty of opportunity's for photos. First up was a mini ramp jam out at 6 Twentyone. Del was there and provided some rhymes to skate to and tons of folks showed up and watched a ruckus event go down. Ripping was done, Ron Allen did the M.C. services and Bruce Rodela, and Steve Brockway helped judge. Some of the rulers included Brad McClain, Chris Jatoft, Josh Mattson, Ryan Carpenter and Thomas Beeson to name a few. To be honest it felt like the ramp might collapse after that session.
The next event was the Deathwish jam held at Townpark in Oakland. Again a huge load of people turned out and all kinds of heavy hitters were there to be seen. This was a great way to finish up the weekend...sun, skating, and takin' photos.
